2002 Magpie Estate - "The Gomersal" Grenache

This wine is produced from 40-50 year old vines and spent 22 months in French oak. An elegant Barossa Grenache, it's kirsch liqueur, pepper and licquorice scented nose is followd by a medium to full bodied red. This impressive effort should last for 12-14 years. Robert Parker Jr 92/100!!

"One of Australia's flagship wines, it is a full bodied, classic South Australian Shiraz. It boasts an inky/purple colour as well as a gorgous nose of blueberries, blackberries, camphor, acacia flowers, pepper, spice and tasty oak. Dense, chewy, full bodied and muscular as well as incredibly elelgant. It should be approachable in 1-2 years (from 2003) and age effortlessly for 2 decades. Very impressive.
